For barrels & receivers made right after 1905: Receivers having the “WP” proof but no “WP” or “Oval P” evidence around the barrel would reveal the barrel was changed outside of Winchester using a pre-1905 barrel.
Towards the best of my know-how, when you find a pre-1905 Winchester which has a “WP” evidence around the barrel, but not over the receiver, any person other than Winchester swapped the barrel.
